Cache Creek

The bustling town of Cache Creek is located at the Junction of the Trans Canada Highway and Highway #97. The hills surrounding this beautiful community portray every aspect of the desert climate that makes this area unique. The hills of sagebrush and cactus provide a beautiful backdrop for this busy town which is only highlighted by the Bonaparte River which runs through Cache Creek.

Originally serving as a junction for the hopeful prospectors on the Gold Rush trails, Cache Creek still provides an excellent half-way stop for the weary traveler. The town offers a variety of restaurants and accommodations. A perfect rest!

Cache Creek has many points of interests for the weary traveler, and sporting a population of approximately 1200 residents, they also offer a full list of community and recreational activities. The Semlin Valley golf Course which is located less than a mile east of Cache Creek on Highway #1, can offer the traveler or resident a respite from the day to day grind with a game of golf. A very well groomed, professionally laid out nine hole course offers a spectacular view of the area. There are different schedules set up for all aspects of entertainment, from serious tournaments to fun days and night golfing. There is also a full sized swimming pool in the heart of the residential area which offers cool splash filled days of endless fun for everyone!

There is one elementary school located in Cache Creek, with bus service for the surrounding areas which transports the children to school. The high school is located in Ashcroft, again, the students are bussed to Ashcroft from Cache Creek.

There are many annual activities planned each year in Cache Creek, ranging from Car Mania Graffiti Days; Eagle Motorplex Drag Racing; Canada Day celebrations to a gentler sport of horseback riding at the Historic Hat Creek Ranch, located just 11 km north of town. The Ranch includes over 300 acres to explore and discover.
